About the FSRG Initiative
We seek to help society find balance and stability with gambling. It’s not a new concept, but new methods are concerning.
To Provide Actionable Solutions for the Real-World
The Financial Stability and Responsible Gambling Initiative is a proactive, evidence-based effort aimed at reducing the financial harms associated with gambling.
By uniting experts across sectors and sharing data-driven solutions, we’re building a more responsive, resilient system — one that supports financial well-being and drives lasting change.
What we’re building
Launched by Kindbridge Research Institute in partnership with UCLA, the FSRG Initiative is the first coordinated U.S. effort to address gambling-related financial harm as both a public health issue and a threat to financial well-being.
The Initiative’s Work Focuses on Four Core Areas
Research and Cross-Sector Insights Report
Conducting a national landscape analysis and stakeholder workshops to map risk, surface trends, and generate actionable Insights.
Cross-Sector Collaboration
Building a network of financial institutions, health experts, researchers, and community organizations to break down silos and align on best practices.
Practical Tools and Resources
Developing materials and guidance to help institutions respond effectively, consistently, and proactively.
Policy and Systems Change
Translating research and lived experience into actionable policy recommendations and industry standards.
